Here is a boat that has been a big hit with the charter trade because of its ability to provide luxury accommodations for three couples. By moving the aft cabin back and taking full advantage of the hull's width, the master stateroom is magnificent. It features a queen size, walk-around bed surrounded by a beautifully crafted arrangement of drawers, cabinets, shelves and desk area. A separate head and shower area plus a large hanging locker make it easy to live aboard for long periods without sacrifice.

The forward sleeping area provides quite a surprise for a boat of this size. By moving the main saloon aft to accommodate the aft cabin, the forward area is increased significantly to allow for two spacious staterooms. A V-berth cabin is standard up forward, and a double stateroom is located to port. Both cabins share a large head with shower.

Classic

The Grand Banks 42 Classic is regarded by many as the boat for those choosing to live a cruising lifestyle. The original design by Ken Smith has been amended and updated with the practical input of her proud owners. The experience gained since the laying of the first GB 42 keel in 1966 is reflected in each one commissioned today.

The Grand Banks semi displacement hull design, with a fine entry forward, hard chines aft and a full keel, has been proven on waters around the world. Single or twin diesel power will deliver cruising speeds when larger than the standard engines are chosen.

Built with the same quality craftsmanship and attention to detail as the rest of the line, the GB36 Motor Yacht offers an expanded aft cabin with a variety of berth arrangements. Even with a queen sized bed, there is still ample space in the aft cabin for a separate head, shower stall, hanging locker and bureau.

The saloon is intelligently laid out with L-shaped settee, teak yacht table, galley, both port and starboard cabin doors and helm console area. All of this is arranged in a bright environment providing the boaters with wonderful views of their surroundings while protecting them from the elements. Expert joinery work and professionally crafted and varnished teak can be found throughout the boat.

The Grand Banks 36 is going places. Capable of real deep water cruising, this boat is an all round sea-worthy performer. Long keel, 26,000 lb displacement, hard chine and deep forefoot hull give you the stability that has won the Grand Banks 36 a reputation for seaworthiness unmatched by any other boat. Besides giving performance to suit the most demanding yachtsman, the fiberglass Grand Banks 36 is luxurious.

Teak joinery work by old world handcraftsmen gives a practical beauty above and below decks. The cabin soles are teak parquet throughout. The main decks and flybridge are teak planked. Extensive locker and drawer space are handsomely made out of golden Burmese teak. The well equipped galley comes with hot and cold pressurized water system. Whether you or your first mate are cooking for a whole crew or for an intimate dinner party, the three-burner stove and oven, large stainless steel sink, dish locker and electric refrigerator are conveniently located. The saloon is a spacious living area complete with solid teak yacht table, L-shaped settee, bar cabinet and the helm station. The upholstery and drapes are tastefully selected to complement the warm look of the surrounding teak. Accessibility to the exterior and flybridge from the saloon is made easier with the presence of port and starboard saloon doors. Full instrumentation and the AC and DC panels are neatly recessed into the helmstation. A full width teak console above the helmstation provides space to house an array of electonics equipment. Three ply laminated safety glass windows all round provide full fore and aft visibility.
